Holeshot PR bring Pedal and Moto power together for a Pirelli campaign

Holeshot were fortunate to be tasked with a recent Pirelli Velo cycling PR campaign. The brief was to was to showcase Pirelli's bicycle tyres, create some unique video assets, and help bring this genre to wider public awareness.

We set about linking up ex-British Superbike Champion Brad Ray with Tom Mazzone, a Commonwealth Games cyclist with a genuine interest in motorcycling.

We opted to run the shoot at the iconic Donington Park circuit during a setup day at a British Superbike round. And despite some logistical and weather challenges, the duo enjoyed some laps of the track whilst chatting about their different two-wheeled sports and respective 'rubber'. Conversation topics covered included a Brad Ray Donington Park preview, how Brad uses cycling for training, the demands of being an athlete, and how both riders stay focused and fuelled for their respective sports.

Three separate videos were created around different elements of cycle and motorcycle preparation. These were all produced from 360 cameras so we could generate as much non-staged content as possible.

The team on the ground consisted of Toby Lee and Harley Stephens for Holeshot PR, Roisin Waters from Pirelli, and of course the stars of the day Brad Ray and Tom Mazzone.

Special thanks goes to Dan Duguid from Saddleback UK for bringing the sublime, featherweight Cannondale race machine.
