New milestone for R&G as they launch their 600th Crash Protector Kit

British crash-protection specialist R&G has reached a significant milestone in its 26-year history with the launch of its 600th Crash Protector application. Designed for the 2025 Honda CBR650R (e-clutch version), the latest product joins a long line of proven protectors that have helped thousands of riders safeguard their machines.

Since its launch in 1999, R&G has remained focused on one core mission: protecting motorcycles during crashes or falls. Crash Protectors were the company’s first ever product line, with the very first application developed for the legendary Suzuki GSX-R750.

Since that first kit, R&G’s Crash Protectors have evolved through multiple design iterations — from the original ‘Classic’ round style to the streamlined ‘Aero’ design and the all-new APEX style. Regardless of appearance, every protector offers the same trusted performance and now features de-embrittled high-tensile steel bolts engineered to bend on impact rather than shear or snap.

Over the past 26 years, R&G has continued to expand its crash-protection range to fit as many new models as possible, ensuring riders have access to protection as soon as they purchase their motorcycles. The Honda CBR650R (e-clutch version) becomes the latest machine to receive the R&G treatment, marking a major milestone for the Hampshire-based brand as it reaches 600 Crash Protector applications.

The new crash protector is now available from R&G.

Alongside its own crash protection and styling accessories, R&G also distributes a wide range of products from leading brands such as Eazi-Grip, Barkbusters, Kaoko and Denali, offering riders even more options to upgrade, protect and enhance their machines.
